Image information and Artist Statement:

These photographs were taken at White Sands National Monument, in Southern New Mexico, over a period of several days in December. Oddly, this desert is in no way desolate, but rather awe inspiring, at the foot of the Rockies. The goal of these images is to bring out the power of the moving white sands, and the co-habitation which exists with life and beauty, within this apparently hostile world.

About the Artist:
Fabrice Poussin is assistant professor of French and English and is the advisor for The Chimes, the Shorter University award winning poetry and arts publication. Author of novels and poetry, his work has appeared in France at La Pensee Universelle, and in the United States in Kestrel, and Symposium. His photography has also been published in Kestrel, and is scheduled for upcoming publications throughout 2016.
