Poetry by Jenn Gutiérrez

Merge

Embraced
in papers strewn
I find today I am
toe-fondling my own soul—

Granting myself
a moment
for forgetting
in the heat
of natural lighting
next to an open window,
undisturbed solitude
like a rare
taste of a drug
I once loved.
